There's something universally appealing about sunrises. In all cultures people
refreshen their souls by watching them. Talk to the ones who come to see the sun rise, and
you'll find that they are almost always filled with purpose and kindness. A little while
ago I started watching the sunrise regularly (I live just two blocks off the beach here in
South Beach). I started creating brief sunrise video clips and emailed them to colleagues
and friends. However, after the 30th sunrise or so, despite the beauty of it all, I got a
bit bored. That's when I discovered the magic of asking people who have come to see the
sun rise what they are looking forward to that day. I found that mixing sunrises with
those chance conversations is a great way for me to start the day. This site is about
sharing these experiences. Some of the videos may come off a little corny, but hey,
they're brief -- and we all need a little bit of kitsch in our lives...
P.S.: The picture above was taken at sunset, not at sunrise ;-)
